Evaluation of student performance at Al-Shahba Private University

Calculating the student's semester average:

The semester average is calculated for each student at the end of each semester, which is the sum of the points he obtained in the courses he studied during the semester after multiplying each by the number of credit hours for the course divided by the total number of credit hours studied by the student during the semester.

Calculating the student's GPA:

A total cumulative average is calculated for each student at the end of the semester in the same way as the semester average, taking into account all the courses that the student has studied since the beginning of his studies, except for the courses that have been repeated, where the highest mark is taken into account.

:special cases

  • A student who is unable to complete the work required of him to avoid falling short in the course for a reason beyond his control is given an “incomplete” grade based on the proposal of the College Council and a decision of the University Council. The student who obtains this report must complete the additional work that is required of him to remove this grade Before the end of the third week of the following semester, and in the event the student defaults and does not comply with this time, a grade of deprived or failing in the course is given.
  • A student who has a failed or deprived grade in any course must re-register in the course and study it again if it is compulsory or its equivalent if optional, with payment of the approved fees and installments.
  • The student must apply to the final exam of the course, and he is considered a failure in the course if he obtains a mark of less than 25% in the final exam, or if he is absent from it, whatever his grades are in the assessments prior to this exam, and he gets a failing grade.
