This course aims to introduce students to the theoretical foundations of economics, its methodology, and the analysis of the nature of economic activity and its various fields at the macro level, as well as its relationship to other sciences. It also aims to familiarize students with the various economic theories that have addressed economic variables, analyze national output and income accounts, analyze both the consumption and investment functions and their impact on the national economy, leading to the general model of macroeconomic equilibrium. Furthermore, it includes an analysis of inflation theories and their types.
