This course aims to introduce students to the civilization of the Semitic peoples, the civilization of the Arabs during the pre-Islamic era, the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs and the Umayyad Caliphate, the history of science during these periods, and the Abbasid era. It also aims to familiarize students with the nature of Arab society, its social classes, and the form of its civilization and culture. Furthermore, it aims to equip students with an understanding of the Arabs' contributions to their civilization in the fields of mathematics, algebra, geometry, astronomy, astronomical instruments, architecture, mechanical engineering, medicine, chemistry, economics, sociology, and public and social administration.
