This course introduces students to the hardware and software fundamentals of parallel computing, covering the core concepts of general-purpose parallel computing, both hardware and software-related. Topics covered include general concepts in the field such as basic architectures, multithreading, concurrency, precedence detection, load balancing, and memory interconnection.
