Arab civilization
This course introduces students to the civilizations of the Semitic peoples, the civilization of the Arabs during the pre-Islamic era, the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs and the Umayyad Caliphate, and the history of science during these periods and the Abbasid era. It also aims to familiarize students with the nature, structure, civilization, and culture of Arab society. Furthermore, it seeks to provide students with an overview of the Arabs' contributions to their civilization in the fields of mathematics, algebra, geometry, astronomy, astronomical instruments, architecture, mechanical engineering, medicine, chemistry, economics, sociology, and public and social administration.
