Board of Trustees
:The Board of Trustees shall have the following responsibilities and powers
- Setting the university’s general strategy and policy, monitoring its implementation, and supervising the proper functioning of the university to ensure the achievement of its objectives.
- Studying the creation of colleges, departments, or academic programs, merging them with others, or canceling them.
- Determining the university fees in each specialization at the university.
- Determining the number of students proposed to be accepted annually in the various college programs at the beginning of each academic year in accordance with the rules approved by the Higher Education Council.
- Approving the internal rules and regulations to organize the work of the university and manage its affairs.
- Propose to the Minister naming the university president and his deputy.
- Discussing the annual report of the university, its budget and final accounts, and submitting them to the board of directors.
- Approval of scholarships, awards and scholarships.
- Endorsing the acceptance of donations, gifts and grants in a manner that does not conflict with the objectives of the university.
- The Board of Trustees may delegate some of its powers to the University Council.
- The Board of Trustees meets quarterly at the invitation of its president, and it meets exceptionally at the request of at least one-third of the members. The meeting is considered legal in the presence of the majority. Decisions are taken by a majority vote of those present.
